Call (321) 220-9883Wells around Fellsmere
The city runs its own water utility, Fellsmere Utilities, but much of the land around it is rural, and homes and farm buildings out there rely on private wells.
- Household wells on rural lots with long runs between the house and the well.
- Hard-working pumps serving barns, animals or gardens as well as the house.
- Flood-damaged equipment. In November 2023 nearly 14 inches of rain flooded the area.
- Lightning over open farmland.
If your well flooded
Don't power a pump whose controls were under water. Have it checked, and have the well disinfected and the water tested before you drink it.
Common questions
Do you go out past the Fellsmere city limits?
Yes. Rural homes around Fellsmere are the ones most likely to depend on a private well.
Is a well far from the house a problem?
It can be. Long wire runs are more exposed to voltage drop and damage, which a contractor will test.
Can you help with a well that also waters animals?
Yes. Tell us what the well supplies so the pump and tank are sized right.
