Barefoot Bay, inside Micco on the Indian River Lagoon, is described as the largest manufactured home community in Florida. It's deed-restricted, mostly home to retirees, and has its own recreation district and its own water and sewer district run by Brevard County (Barefoot Bay, Florida).
Call (321) 220-9883Wells in Barefoot Bay
Because the water and sewer district supplies house water, wells here are for watering lawns and gardens. These are small systems: usually a jet pump, a small pressure tank and a switch.
- Lost prime after the pump sits idle all summer.
- Short cycling from a small tank that has lost its charge.
- Seized motors on pumps left powered while owners are away.
Back for the season?
If the sprinkler pump won't prime when you return, don't let it run dry for long. That burns the seal. Turn it off and call.
Common questions
Is my house water from a well?
In most of Barefoot Bay, no. House water comes from the community's water district. Private wells are usually just for irrigation.
Why won't my sprinkler pump prime?
Usually an air leak or a failed foot or check valve on the suction side. Re-priming won't hold until that's fixed.
Do you work on pumps at manufactured homes?
Yes. The pump setup is the same as at any other home.
